Working For You.
Whilst we can absolutely move your freight to anywhere in Australia, New Zealand or indeed the world, naturally some places are easier to get to than others. One of the major benefits of partnering with Applied Logistics is that we have a passion for delivering to unusual places. In that spirit, if you have some freight to move to somewhere not marked on our map above, let us know and we promise that we will get you an extra special rate!

Rail.
Rail is best suited to general freight through consolidators (or forwarders) or full loads over longer distances.
Linehaul rail operators (such as Aurizon) only accept loaded shipping containers. Applied Logistics is able to provide you with a full service, including road cartage and both standard and specialised shipping containers to handle your freight.
We have direct access to Aurizon, Pacific National, SCT, GWA and TasRail services, as well as through forwarders such as Toll, Sadleirs, NTFS, K&S Group and Rand Transport.

Coastal Shipping.
Developement of the interstate railway network and highways has contributed to the demise of coastal shipping in Australia & New Zealand. However, options are still available where it is essential, or where there is sufficient demand.
Coastal shipping should be considered when you have constant flows of freight and transit time is of a lesser concern. Heavy freight also benefits from containerised coastal shipping, because the shipping line doesn’t charge extra for weight.
We recommend coastal shipping for the movement of heavy or large machinery – although, forward planning will help reduce the overall transit time.
Each lane has a different set of solutions available. LCL, Break Bulk, RORO and containers are available on all services to remote communities and across the Bass Strait.
For customers who have heavy freight, or consistent freight requirements, we have access to international container ships operating under licence on the below lanes:
- East Coast > Perth
- Melbourne > Sydney > Brisbane
- MEL > SYD > BNE > Townsville during peak periods
- MEL > Hobart > SYD
- ADL / BNE / FRE / MEL / SYD > Darwin via Singapore as domestic cargo
RORO is available from Adelaide, Brisbane, Darwin, Fremantle, Melbourne, Port Kembla, Tasmania and Townsville,
For Bass Strait (Tasmania), Darwin and Far North Queensland communities, we have a direct relationship with Toll Shipping, SeaRoad and Sea Swift.
